ก่อนอื่น ต้องแยกให้ออกก่อนว่าลูกใช้ AI แบบไหน
ไม่ใช่ทุกการใช้ AI ที่เหมือนกันครับ มีความแตกต่างที่สำคัญมากระหว่างสองแบบนี้
แบบที่ 1 — Copy วาง
ถามคำถาม → AI ตอบ → คัดลอกส่งครู โดยไม่ได้อ่านหรือทำความเข้าใจเลย แบบนี้น่ากังวลครับ ไม่ใช่เพราะใช้ AI แต่เพราะสมองไม่ได้ทำงานเลยสักนิด
แบบที่ 2 — ใช้เป็นตัวช่วยคิด
ถามคำถาม → อ่านคำตอบ → ตั้งคำถามต่อ → เอาไปเขียนในแบบของตัวเอง แบบนี้คือการใช้ AI อย่างฉลาด และจริงๆ แล้วคือทักษะที่สำคัญที่สุดในยุคนี้ครับ
ปัญหาไม่ได้อยู่ที่ AI แต่อยู่ที่วิธีใช้
ลองนึกถึงเครื่องคิดเลขครับ เมื่อ 30 ปีก่อนผู้ปกครองหลายคนกังวลว่าถ้าให้ลูกใช้เครื่องคิดเลข ลูกจะคิดเลขไม่เป็น แต่ความจริงคือเครื่องคิดเลขไม่ได้ทำให้เด็กคิดเลขไม่เป็น มันแค่เปลี่ยนว่าเด็กต้องเก่งเรื่องอะไร จากการคำนวณเอง มาเป็นการรู้ว่าควรคำนวณอะไรและตีความผลลัพธ์ยังไง
AI ก็เหมือนกันครับ
แล้วควรทำยังไงดี?
ไม่ใช่การห้ามใช้ AI แต่คือการสอนให้ลูกใช้เป็นครับ และนั่นคือสิ่งที่เราทำในทุกคลาสที่ True Coding School
เด็กที่เรียน Coding จะเข้าใจว่า AI ทำงานอย่างไร รู้ว่า Output ที่ได้มาเชื่อถือได้แค่ไหน และที่สำคัญที่สุดคือรู้ว่าจะตรวจสอบความถูกต้องได้อย่างไร ซึ่งเป็นทักษะที่เด็กที่ไม่มีพื้นฐาน Coding เลยจะขาดไปโดยสิ้นเชิง
3 สัญญาณที่บอกว่าลูกใช้ AI อย่างฉลาด
1. ลูกถามคำถามต่อจาก AI ไม่ใช่แค่รับคำตอบแรกแล้วจบ แต่ถามว่า "ทำไม" และ "แล้วถ้าเป็นแบบนี้ล่ะ?"
2. ลูกอธิบายสิ่งที่ทำได้ด้วยตัวเอง ถ้าถามว่าทำการบ้านเรื่องอะไร ลูกอธิบายได้ ไม่ใช่จำไม่ได้เพราะแค่ Copy วาง
3. ลูกรู้ว่า AI ผิดได้ ไม่ใช่เชื่อทุกอย่างที่ AI บอก แต่รู้จักตั้งคำถามและตรวจสอบ
สรุปตรงๆ จากครู
ในฐานะคนที่สอน Coding มาหลายปี ผมมองว่าเด็กที่รู้จักใช้ AI อย่างชาญฉลาดตั้งแต่ตอนนี้ จะได้เปรียบอย่างมากในอีก 5-10 ปีข้างหน้า แต่เด็กที่ใช้ AI แบบ Copy วางโดยไม่เข้าใจอะไรเลย กำลังฝึกให้ตัวเองไม่จำเป็นต้องคิดอีกต่อไป
และนั่นคือสิ่งที่น่ากังวลจริงๆ ครับ ไม่ใช่การที่ลูกใช้ AI

My Child Is Using AI for Homework. Should I Be Worried? A Coding Teacher's Honest Take.
First, It Matters How They're Using It
Not all AI use looks the same. There's an important difference between these two.
Pattern 1 — Copy and paste
Ask the question → AI answers → copy it to the teacher. Without reading or understanding a single word. This one is worth worrying about. Not because of the AI, but because the brain isn't doing any work at all.
Pattern 2 — Using it as a thinking tool
Ask the question → read the answer → ask follow-up questions → write it in their own words. This is using AI intelligently. And honestly, it's one of the most important skills in the world right now.
The Problem Isn't AI. It's How It's Being Used.
Think about calculators. Thirty years ago, parents worried that if children used calculators, they'd never learn to do maths. What actually happened is that calculators didn't make children worse at maths — they just changed what children needed to be good at. Less about manual calculation, more about knowing what to calculate and how to interpret the result.
AI is the same thing, at a much larger scale.
So What Should You Actually Do?
Not ban AI — but teach your child to use it well. That's exactly what we do in every class at True Coding School.
Children who learn coding understand how AI works, know how reliable its output actually is, and most importantly, know how to verify whether something is correct. That last skill is one that children without any coding background will struggle to develop on their own.
3 Signs Your Child Is Using AI Well
1. They ask follow-up questions rather than accepting the first answer and moving on. They ask "why" and "what if."
2. They can explain what they did If you ask what their homework was about, they can tell you. They haven't just copied something they don't understand.
3. They know AI can be wrong They don't trust everything AI tells them. They question it and check.
The Honest Summary
As someone who teaches coding and works with children every day, I think kids who learn to use AI thoughtfully right now will have a significant advantage in five to ten years. But children who use AI purely to avoid thinking are quietly training themselves not to need to think at all.
That's what's actually worth worrying about. Not the AI itself.
